Aloha! Cluster Pays Slot review
Aloha: Cluster Pays is one of the latest Net Ent slots to be released, with a theme revolving around Tiki gods and tropical islands.
Aloha: Cluster Pays manages to mention in its title both the kind of design you’re going to see inside, and one of the more impressive features that it sports. The Hawaiian theme places gorgeous beaches, smoking volcanoes and things like flowers or shells on the reels, while the Cluster Pays bit relates to the way the combinations are formed here. The game has 6 reels, doesn’t use paylines or ways to win, and it can offer up to $200,000 cash.
I enjoyed the design of the game, but that’s not a surprise since it’s made by Net Ent. It’s tropical, it has beautiful pictures in the background, while the symbols on the reels include Tiki masks, coconuts, pineapple, flowers and shells.
The slot’s lack of paylines doesn’t stop you from placing a wager. You use the equivalent of 10 lines for the wagers, with the Bet Level going from 1 to 10, for the same number of coins per line. You can spend 100 coins each round, and their total value would be $200 at most.
The slot’s Cluster Pays system allows you to form combinations out of symbols which are near each other, on multiple reels. You can have multiple stacked symbols from the same reel as part of a combo. A cluster needs to have at least 9 symbols in it, in order to bring you a prize. Up to 30 positions can be occupied by the same symbol though, which is how you get the jackpot of up to 10,000x ($200,000 cash at most).
The Question Mark symbol is a wild, the only one capable of taking the place of another one. It can transform into one of the adjacent symbols, adding to a cluster this way.
Sticky Win Re-Spins bring you additional symbols of the same type, keeping the symbols from the winning cluster in place, and spinning all the rest. It keeps re-spinning for as long as it can add new symbols to the cluster.
The slot brings free spins as well, and to get them you need 3 to 6 symbols with the Free Spins logo on them. You win 9 to 12 free games, and you retrigger 1 to 4 additional rounds with the same number of symbols. The free games drop low paying symbols from the reels, keeping only the high paying ones.
It’s a great game, and the main reason would be its unusual layout with 6 reels and the way the combinations are formed, by appearing in clusters. If you’re tired of the regular 5 reel slot machines, Aloha Cluster Pays will offer a very different and fun experience.
