Book of Lords Slot review
Book of Lords is an Amatic release, one of the many Book of Ra clones available these days, though this one pays up to 5,000x the stake.
Book of Lords has been released by Amatic at the same time as Book of Queen, as a game that’s inspired by the very popular Book of Ra. It copies its mechanics and features, while also offering the same Ancient Egypt related theme, so originality is definitely not its strong point. The game has as symbols images of deities from the Egyptian culture, such as Hathor, Anubis or Bastet, but also of a Book which has an Ankh on it, along with a blonde archaeologist. The Royals are not missing from that picture either, and obviously they’re the least impressive part of this already below average game.
You get a relatively common type of game here, especially since a lot of other slots have been trying to get a piece of the popularity that Book of Ra has found. They came up with a 5 reels/10 lines game area, with winning combinations paying as much as 5,000x, and with features including wilds, scatters, free spins and expanding bonus symbols, just as expected.
The wagers appear to start from a minimum of $1, and they can reach a maximum of $500, for the 10 active lines provided inside.
As I’ve mentioned above, the mechanics available in this game are ones that we’ve seen many times before. The wild/scatter symbol is just one example, of a feature which has been used many times before in this form. The symbol acts as both types of features, so while at times it can be used to contribute to new winning combinations as a substitute, other times it can be considered to trigger the slot’s free spins.
The requirement is to have 3+ of those Book symbols present in view, so that you can get 10 free spins from them. As the feature starts up, the game selects one of the regular symbols, to use as a replacement for the entire duration of the free games. The symbol gains the ability to expand on the reel it lands on, and the ideal situation is to get the jackpot symbol (the female archaeologist) on all reels, so that you can form 10 combinations of 5 symbols each with her.
Book of Lords doesn’t have anything unique to offer, but it’s coming with a 5,000x top prize that can be hard to ignore.
