Coins of Egypt gives its players a chance to experience Ancient Egypt once again, but this time it’s NetEnt’s design that we’re getting.

No matter what theme they’re going for, NetEnt tends to end up with a great design in their slot machines, and Coins of Egypt is no different. I was skeptical at first, since there are probably over 100 games to sport a similar theme already, but the developer did very well with it and I enjoyed the graphics. There is a 3D style to the design of the slot which looks great, with two gods facing from the sides of the reels and with images on the reels looking the same. Some of the available symbols display images of gods, others are of various insects that seem to be made out of gemstones, carrying them on their backs usually. Whether it’s a god or a ruby insect, a scorpion or a golden bee, everything was handled perfectly and I found the graphics very enjoyable.

They didn’t do a lot of innovating in the layout either, and it uses the 5 reels & 20 win lines that you’re getting from many other slots. You can get wins of up to $30,000 if the right combinations form, and then you can gain access to free spins with treasure chests, to a Pharaoh Coins Win or to wild symbols.

Don’t expect anything different from the wager system. It has the job of covering 20 fixed lines, and it does just that, with at least 20 coins. With the level of the wager increased, you could use up to 200 coins total. The final piece of the bet will come from the coin value, which goes from $0.01 to $1. All in all, the complete betting range is $0.20 to $200.

A wild symbol is the one you need to watch out for, if you want the $30,000 jackpot, or at least if you want more wins as you play. It’s the wild symbol, usable in combination with a regular icon only.

You will see coins appear next to the symbols from reels 1-3. These add up and can be won if a Pharaoh collect icon appears on reel 5.

The same coins are used in the free spins, which when triggered will give you a chance to win the amount that is found in three chests. This is in addition to whatever you got from the regular combinations that were formed.
