Net Ent’s Creature from the Black Lagoon has an excellent vintage look, and it is themed around the 1954 film with the same name.

The slot was released in 2014, which is exactly 60 years after the original movie aired, back in 1954. Since this game was released by Net Entertainment, if there is one thing to be sure about is that they will not get the design wrong. It looks vintage, it’s colored and drawn appropriately for that time, and it has a very mysterious atmosphere, with the black lagoon being shown in the background. The slot presents you with the usual 5 reels, it has 20 bet lines and it awards prizes of $3,750.

I’m a big fan of the retro design in slot machines, and Net Ent is great at doing this sort of thing. They did it again in Creature from the Black Lagoon, using images from that time, including all sorts of objects that the main characters are using while exploring, including oxygen tanks, binoculars, radio stations and so on. The drawing style is the one that you would see in comic books of the time, or in vintage posters with pin-up girls.

If you’re looking to modify the bet in this game, you can do it by changing the bet level and the coin value. The bet level allows you to choose between 1 and 10 coins to be used for each line. The coin value starts at $0.01 and can go up to $0.50. You can wager at most $5 per line, or $100 total.

The wild is one of the more important symbols in this slot, acting as a substitute and even doing a few extra things when it makes its appearance. It will be a sticky wild when it appears, staying around for 1 free re-spin. Wilds can’t replace target symbols or free spin icons.

Should you get a symbol marked Free Spin, you can trigger the slot’s free games, as long as you have at least three of them.
