Drive: Multiplier Mayhem Slot review
Drive: Multiplier Mayhem is a release from Net Ent and a game with a theme inspired by the world of illegal car racing. The action takes place at night, the way it should be for a slot like this. It’s got the right design, including a very cool sports car in the background, and various racers among the symbols. Only 15 paylines are used, with the prizes worth up to $750.
The game looks great, it has a pleasant design and it uses a mix of poker cards and themed symbols which show you either sports cars or characters that are part of the racing world. The paytable even mentions the names of these characters, which are called Twitch, Hamaki and Bruiser.
Net Ent uses in most slots they release a system where you choose the bet level, and this will decide how many coins you use for each bet line. You use 1 to 10 coins per line, and with 15 fixed lines in use that means up to 150 coins total. The coin value only goes up to $0.50, so you can expect bets of up to $75.
Wild symbols are quite special in Drive. The reel they are on decides what multiplier they can apply, so a wild from the 4th reel will be at 4x. With multiple wilds part of the same combo, their multipliers combine and multiply among themselves. The best possible outcome is when you have a regular symbol on the 1st reel, and four wilds in the other four positions on the same line. A 120x total multiplier is used in that case, which is beyond what you can expect in pretty much any game.
You trigger the slot’s 10 free spins with three scatters that appear in any position on the middle three reels. Nitro icons are collected during these spins, when they appear on the same reels (2, 3 and 4). You advance in level each time you collect an additional three Nitro icons. You face different opponents in the four levels, and you get extra free spins and more overlay multiplier wilds each time you advance.
