Epic Monopoly II Slot review
Epic Monopoly II is a WMS slot themed around the famous board game, special mostly because of its offer of two sets of reels in one game.
The title of the game would seem to indicate that it’s the second title that SG Interactive offers in the Monopoly universe, but I know for a fact that there are far more titles with the same theme as this one, from multiple developers. They tend to have very similar graphics, but they do have interesting and innovative features, so they’re all worth trying if you’re a fan of the board game. In this case, we are being offered two sets of 5 reels, a normal one and a colossal one, with 100 paylines total on them. The jackpot is at only $5,000.
The game is clearly inspired by Monopoly, and so its symbols will mainly use images from it. The icons have pics with Mr. Monopoly, his dog, with various tokens that you would use as your avatar on the board, with characters that play with or against our hero and so on. Only symbols which are connected to the theme are present. The unusual bit is the presence of the two sets of reels of very different sizes, one with four symbols on each column, the other with twelve.
You always play with 100 paylines, but I enjoyed seeing that you don’t have to use 100 coins, 50 being sufficient to cover them all. You choose the value of the coins, going from $0.01 to $1, and so you get a betting range of $0.50 to $50.
The symbol with the Epic Wild log on it is, as you might’ve guessed, the wild feature. This symbol has the ability to replace any other symbol present in the slot, with the exception of the Bonus. Wild symbols can appear stacked, and if they cover all four positions on the main reel set, then they will be transferred to the same reel on the colossal set, so they can help out there as well.
The Bonus feature seems to be the only one that counts symbols present on both sets of reels. You get this symbol on three reels in each case, the 1st, 3rd and 5th ones. You need three or more Bonus icons from both sets of reels, to get the feature called Epic Wheel. With four or more, you also receive cash prizes, as high as 100x the bet.
It’s a very interesting game, mainly because of the unusual way it plays, with two sets of reels that can even influence each other.
