Fat Santa Slot review

Coming from Push Gaming, you get here a Christmas themed game with a modern design, but with the same traditional story.

In a sea of Christmas themed slot machines, with many new ones being released each year, Fat Santa manages to look different. It’s doing this while keeping the same characters and symbols that every game is using, but thanks to the original drawing style it manages to look modern at the same time. It’s fairly attractive, quirky at times thanks to the tiny characters shown and the way they were drawn, but overall I’d expect players to enjoy looking at it. For its symbols, it has Santa for one, and he doesn’t appear to be as fat as the title might suggest. Additional symbols shown will include an Elf, Rudolph, a Snow Man and a Gift. The last four get the card suits, but they’re placed on colorful and well-designed Christmas globes, so they fit in very well. As I mentioned, it’s a very nice design, definitely not a regular one though, so it has that going for it as well.

You get a lot of symbols on those 5×5 reels, but you also have 50 paylines to use each round. In addition to wild symbols, the game also has a feature called Santa’s Sleigh, along with free spins which have a Christmas Pie extra and a wild that goes up in size. It’s a fun game, and it can apparently pay as much as 1,000x the stake per spin, or $25,000.

You can expect a game which has 25 coins in use, for 50 lines. It then allows you to pick a wager from the range of $0.25 to $25, so each line gets at most $1.

Fat Santa will be your wild symbol, and as a replacement it will be combined with others to form all types of winning combinations.

Santa’s Sleight is a random feature, which will have Santa flying over the reels and leaving Christmas Pies behind him. These are locked wilds then, and in the following re-spin the symbols which were replaced by them are also transformed into additional Pies.

To access the free spins, you need a Santa on the reels, at the same time as 1+ Wild Christmas Pies. You collect the Pies in a meter, and as you do so, the size of the Fat Santa Wild will increase.

Fat Santa has enough good features to make the action pleasant, and the graphics help in that regard as well. I would’ve liked a bigger top jackpot, but 1,000x the stake is not too bad.
