Fisticuffs is a vintage style boxing game, designed by Net Ent, with an excellent design and some very cool features.

Coming from Net Ent, if there is one thing that you can expect from a slot machine, is a great design. That’s exactly what you will see in Fisticuffs, a boxing inspired game, with a retro feel to it. All the symbols used in it are taken from boxing, with a few sporting boxers, but with most of them being simply objects that you would see on or near the boxing ring. The slot sports 10 paylines, has 5 reels and can pay as much as $5,000.

Among the symbols used in Fisticuffs you will discover two boxers, acting as wilds, plus various regular symbols which are all boxing related. They show images with champion belts, cups, boxing gloves, stools, boots and rings.

Fisticuffs has 10 fixed paylines, which you always keep active. 20 to 200 coins are used on them, with a bet level of 1 to 10. The reason for the 20 coins for 10 lines wager is the fact that the slot pays both ways. There is also the coin value to worry about, which is between $0.01 and $1. You can spend as much as $200 on a single spin, but if you can’t afford that much, you can get the paylines active with a little as $0.20.

One of the things I appreciated about this game is the fact that you win both ways, combinations forming starting from the right as well as the left side. It partially makes up for the limited number of paylines.

Two very special types of wilds are in use, a straight and a diagonal one. The straight wild is shown on the 3rd reel, and if you get it on the same row as the 1 or 2 diagonal wilds, you will see it punch the adversary to the 1st or the 5th reel, with all other symbols in the way turning into wilds as well.

A diagonal wild is also part of the slot, showing on reels 2 and 4. If this wild appears in a diagonal position in relation to the straight wild, the boxer on it will punch the other one, turning symbols on top and below into extra wilds.

I loved the design of this retro boxing slot, its features are interesting, and it pays both ways, but it also has a very limited number of paylines and its top jackpot will go up to $5,000 at most.
