Flowers is a game that innovates, and even though it doesn’t have the best design, it offers more than enough to make it fun to play.

Flowers is a Net Ent slot machine, with a theme that is inspired by flowers which are turned into characters, and with very unusual features, though not unheard of. The slot’s themed symbols give you various types of flowers, including meat eating ones, along with red roses and others. The slot’s 5 reels get a total of 30 paylines, which can bring payouts of up to $37,500.

I doubt you will find the design of Flowers very appealing, but it has its moments. The symbols are of two types. There are the ones that have flowers with faces on them, coming in single or double variants, plus the feature icons, and then there are the simple playing cards, coming in multiple colors.

The bets can have up to 150 coins in them, which would mean a maximum of 5 coins per payline. With their denomination going up to $0.50, a line bet can mean $2.50, while the total bet gets up to $75.

The thing that makes this slot special is the use of double symbols. Every single flower symbol comes in two versions, with one or two flowers on them. The game counts how many flowers are on a payline, instead of the number of symbols. Both single and double flowers count towards a combo. To get paid, the requirement is for three to ten flowers to be on a payline, going from the left to the right.

The Sun symbol’s image is the one to act as a substitute, capable of replacing other symbols. You need to land a Sun icon on a payline where matching symbols are already in place. Wilds don’t substitute for double symbols though, acting as single ones instead. Wilds are able to form combinations and they will pay up to 5,000x when they do so.

The flowers aren’t the only ones to show up in two versions. Cloud scatters are also available as singles and as doubles. They are marked Free Spin, and getting four or more such clouds will trigger a feature with free games and multipliers. The best possible outcome is when you have eight such symbols, which would get you 30 free games and a 10x multiplier.

I’d play this game for its unusual double symbols, but the chance to get free spins with big multipliers is another good reason to play it.
