Football has a pretty specific name, telling you that it’s inspired by the most popular sport on the planet, by Association Football, the one Americans will call soccer. The action of the game takes place among various related objects that are made into characters, so the developers added eyes and mouths to whistles, cards, boots, chronometers or trophies. It’s a different approach than the one that developers usually take with these sports games. The slot uses 21 lines, 5 reels and it awards jackpots of $42,000.

I enjoyed the design of Football quite a bit. It might not look like a typical football themed slot machine, but it works for it. You have the field in the background, shown from above, with the reels being made out of a similar material and having images with objects that are made into characters. Boots, whistles, cards, gloves or trophies are all there, along with a couple of poker letters.

A bet in Football can reach a maximum value of $2,100, which will cover 21 lines with $100 line bets. You can vary this bet from $1 to $100, so you can get away with less if you want to.

The Joker, which is how the paytable describes the Gold Football Trophy, is the one to have wild abilities in this slot machine. It’s also the one to give you prizes directly, if it happens to appear on a payline and a new combo is formed as a result. You can get up to $25,000 from this wild directly.

The symbols with Yellow or Red cards can reward you by forming regular combinations, in which case they pay you up to $9,000, but they can also pay you as scatters, which actually is the better way, since they give you up to $42,000 (red card) or $21,000 (yellow card).
