Gold Rush Slot review
Gold Rush is a Playson slot machine, with a theme that isn’t overly special as far as the topic choice, or the design for that matter. It’s inspired by gold miners and what’s going on deep underneath the surface. The game has its own story to tell, with characters inside including mean looking miners, rats and canaries in cages. Only 9 paylines are available on the 5 reels, while available payouts go up to $7,500.
The gold miner that is included in this game is not the most loveable character I’ve seen so far, having a bit of a mean expression and a cigar in the corner of his mouth. Rats and canaries are also part of the symbols, along with various explosives. The rest of the icons are poker cards made out of stone, but colored in green, red, purple and so on. It’s a decent looking slot, but it’s not extraordinary.
The game doesn’t give the player the option to decide on the number of active lines, but it does allow for the coin value to be changed in the $0.01 to $5 range. You can wager up to $45 per spin in Gold Rush.
A favorite of mine in any game, the wild symbol is represented here by an image of an explosion trigger. It’s an expanding wild in this game, so it covers the whole reel. It substitutes for any icon that can use its help, if it lands in the right place first. Each wild that appears boosts the value of the bonus feature’s prize by 1.35.
A Click-Me bonus feature can be triggered, with help from the icon with the mine wagon. You choose a wagon and you get paid between 4x and 12x the total bet value.
TNT marked crates will add 1 stick of dynamite to your collection. Once you have 10 sticks, you get the bonus game to trigger. You choose a mine for the miner to blast through, and you win between 30% and 100% of the total bonus prize.
