Golden New World Slot review
Golden New World gets its players to visit South America, as it was hundreds of years ago, when European explorers first set foot on it.
Golden New World shows us what the conquistadors discovered when they reached South America, and they found the Mayans and the rest of the civilizations that existed back then. You get a mix of symbols of high quality in the game, some with poker cards, but most of them showing things like explorers, Mayan pyramids, treasure chests, sail ships, maps, helmets and idols. The game is not without its features, and it offers scatter symbols, some wilds and bonus features. The rewards are on the low side, reaching 50x at most, or $125 cash. You can use at most 20 lines, for 5 reels.
The betting system is a bit unusual. You click on the options button, from the bottom left corner, and then you have the option with the lines on the left side of the screen, while the line bet is shown on the right. You get line bets of up to $2.50, with the minimum at $0.01. The number of lines runs from 1 to 20. You can wager at most $50 for each spin.
Keep an eye out for the wild symbol when you’re playing this game. You will find it only on the three columns from the middle, and it will only be useful to you when forming new combinations with it. It can be a substitute, one that you use in combination with regular or Pyramid bonus symbols, but not with the Treasure Chest scatters. Apparently, you can’t have a wild and a Treasure Chest on the same reel, at the same time, and that’s something I don’t remember seeing mentioned in other games. I can’t say I like that particular limitation of the game.
The scatter symbol, the Treasure Chest, will be used by the game to give you rewards, starting from 1x for three symbols, to 4x for four and to 20x the wager for all five in view.
The Pyramid Bonus symbol is needed on only two reels, the ones that it can appear on, 1st and 5th. With both in view, your reward will be a bonus round that takes you inside the pyramid. There, you have choices to make at each level, and rewards coming your way from each one.
Golden New World has the right design, but with a theme and features that are not that unusual. Still, it’s a decent title to play, if you love adventure and exploration.
