Megaquarium Slot review

Megaquarium appears to be an aquarium themed slot machine, a huge one where you find whole banks of fish and treasure chests.

An RTG game, Megaquarium has an ocean theme, even though it suggests that the action takes place inside of a huge aquarium. The symbols will show off multiple types of fish, along with oceanic plant life and various decorations that one might use in an aquarium. Besides the fish, crabs and plants, you also have images of No Fishing signs, of treasure chests and neon like logos. It’s got a decent design overall, but I can’t say that I’m overly impressed with the look of the slot. This is a slot machine with 5 reels and with a total of 50 active lines. You may win as much as $2,500 inside, which is decent since it’s a 10,000x reward. Two progressive jackpots of relatively low value are also offered. You also get free spins, multipliers, scatters and wilds, so a pretty normal set of features overall.

The setup has 5×3 reels and yet it offers 50 lines, so it’s the sort of slot where you can expect to get wins often. You don’t have the option to select the lines, only the total bet, which will be within the range of $0.50 to $12.50. The range would allow your line bets to be worth between $0.01 and $0.25.

A Clown Fish will be placed in one of the major roles from Megaquarium, that of the wild symbol. You may only use these symbols from the 2nd and 4th reels, an unfortunate limitation. However, the game does give you a 2x multiplier when it is part of any regular win, and this will apply to the top jackpot’s value as well.

The game is going to have free spins for its players as well, the feature coming via the Free Games Logo, a scatter that is needed on both 1st and 5th reels at the same time. You get 7 free spins from the game at this point, with the prizes all doubled. The first three reels get additional symbols, capable of triggering a bonus game, but only during the 7th spin. If you get the three symbols at the same time during the 7th round, then you retrigger the free spins.

Megaquarium is not your typical fish themed slot machine, and it has some features that are worthy of extra attention from the players, so it’s not a slot that I’d recommend you stay away from.
