Mysterious Gems Slot review

A Genesis Gaming production, Mysterious Gems has a layout with 6×6 reels, a gemstone theme and a focus on sorcery.

Mysterious Gems doesn’t look like your typical gemstone themed slot machine, and there is no shortage of such titles on the market. You get more reels and symbols out of it, but the images that you see there are always going to be of precious stones, ranging from diamonds, to opal, sapphire and various others, some of them cut, others in much rougher shape. If you look beyond the reels and the symbols that appear on them, there will be images from a wizard’s room. There are candles, one of which is mounted in a human skull, along with books, goblets, books and an orb that has an electricity inspired effect inside. I’m not a big fan of the look of the reels, but the background looks good.

In Mysterious Gems, you’re going to play a 6×6 reels slot machine, which uses clusters of matching symbols, rather than ways to win or lines. You have a decent shot at a prize, with the RTP being set to 96.65%, while the top jackpot is worth $10,000. There are also some features to be had, such as the Stretching Wild, Bonus symbols, Mysterious Gems or multipliers.

There are no standard lines, so the game uses 10 made-up ones for wagering purposes. You spend between $0.10 and $20 per spin, so that each of the 10 lines will get $0.01 to $2.

The Stretching Wild is one of the features that you can land in Mysterious Gems, the required symbol showing up on the last four reels. These wilds can match any of the regular symbols and be part of their winning clusters. The Gem symbols that are found on the same column as the wild are all transformed into wilds.

The game also has several Mysterious Gems, symbols that you need to land on certain reels to have an effect. The Amethyst will appear on reel 4, giving you a random prize of up to 5x total bet.

Jade is going to show up on reel 5, delivering maximum wins for all clusters formed that round. Sapphire is on reel 6 and it gives you a small prize, along with a random multiplier of up to 5x, to be used on all wins of the round.

Mysterious Gems doesn’t show too much imagination theme wise, but it has it in spades when it comes to the features that were implemented in it.
