Planet of the Apes Slot review
Planet of the Apes has been modeled after a film that was released recently, one that is part of a series that started out decades ago.
A NetEnt production, Planet of the Apes is a branded release, which the developer got the license for. It’s being based on a film that was launched in 2017, and which got a lot of attention from movie goers. It’s inspired by the Planet of the Apes franchise, and it is going with an interesting design. This involves the use of two sides and two sets of reels, with special symbols and features used for each one. You have the Rise and the Dawn sides on the reels, with symbols being with poker cards or with various humans and apes that appeared in the film. It’s a good design overall, but using photos of actors almost never works out as well as the developers might hope.
There are two sets of 5×3 reels used here, with 20 lines on each one, for a total of 40 lines. The game pays up to $10,000, while as features it offers two types of scatters, two wilds, two versions for the free spins and various other bonuses.
You only need to set up the wager with 20 lines in mind, even though 40 are available across the two sets of reels. You can have a minimum bet of $0.01 per line, or $0.20 total. The maximum bet will end up at $200, while the line bet can have a value of $10, using 10 coins of $1 each one.
Regular wilds are present inside, capable of paying up to 600x directly, or acting as substitutes for the regular symbols the rest of the time. Each of the two sides has its own symbols, but they work the same way.
Scatters appear capable of offering better rewards, of up to 1,000x, and having three matching ones will deliver to you the free spins. Once again, two versions exist, one for Rise and the other for Dawn.
The first reel of the Rise mode can get a bonus symbol that will trigger a feature for it that involves a coin win. The last reel of Dawn mode can trigger its own feature, which transforms apes and humans into the same symbol.
Free spins are activated by scatters, and once again we have two types, for the Rise and the Dawn modes, each one with their own extra features.
This is clearly a feature rich title, with better than average graphics, and overall it should provide you with plenty of entertainment value.
