Star Trek: The Next Generation Slot review
Inspired by one of the most loved Star Trek series of all, this Skywind Group slot is a branded release, which uses images of all the main characters from the series.
If you love Star Trek, and you’re a fan of Jean Luc Picard in particular, you will be happy to hear that Skywind Group secured the rights to the brand, and they turned it into a slot machine. As a branded release, with additional costs to produce, it doesn’t have a great RTP, but the graphics will help sell the game to the fans of the series. The cast of TNG inspires most of the major symbols in this game, so there are images of Picard, Troy, Data, Worf, Riker, Geordi and Beverly Crusher, actual photos of these great actors. Additional symbols that you’re going to see inside, include images of Enterprise (wild), the Communications Badge, a handheld phaser, tricorders, displays and disruptors. The result is a nice trip down memory lane, a slot machine which looks somewhat dated perhaps, but it’s hard to avoid when you’re using TV characters from the 90s as symbols. As you spin the reels, you see Enterprise advance in space at the top, towards various planets, so it looks like it’s an exploration game as well.
They turned Star Trek: The Next Generation into a slot machine with 5×4 reels & 50 paylines. Free spins with Transport Wilds, Multiplier Respins and Enterprise Respins where you engage enemy ships, win multipliers, stacked symbols and wilds, the list of features looks impressive overall. Even the top wins are great, with their 5,000x return.
You get to select the total bet, for 50 lines, but as you do so, you also see how much the coins are worth. When you go from a wager of $0.50 to the maximum of $250, the coin value changes from $0.01 to $5.
Enterprise Respins: when enemy ships appear, you engage them and can get up to 5 respins out of it, with additional wilds on the reels.
Multiplier Respins: also coming at random, you can get 5 Multiplier Respins, with increasing multipliers, of up to 5x.
Comm Badge scatters on the middle reels will get you 15 free spins, as well as Transport Wilds, stacked symbols present on the five reels.
The star might just be the Enterprise Wild though, since besides being a substitute, it also pays the 5,000x top jackpot with its own combinations.
Star Trek: The Next Generation looks like a fun game, and about the only major downside I see with it, is the 95.50% RTP, a bit below the average.
