Tahiti Gold will show us a different side of the island of Tahiti, than what we’re typically going to see in slot machines. While most games using this type of theme seem to focus on the beautiful tropical island and on vacations that you can have in such a place, Tahiti Gold appears to use the old civilizations of the region. You see the reels being flanked by two large Tiki totems, while the reels will either show you images of idols, or of various carvings made in wood. All symbols are square shaped and they fall into place as you spin the reels. As symbols, there is the Tiki Forge, the Eye of Tiki, a Bonus Volcano, the Sun Wild, the King, three different carved idols, frogs, hammerhead sharks, turtles and lizards, followed by representations of mountains, the Sun, water and leaves.

While it relies on 6×4 reels, Tahiti Gold creates its wins via 4096 ways to win. It’s a game which has a lot of cool features, including cascading reels, mega symbols, multiple types of wilds and other new options. In the meantime, it also promises a top reward of $500,000, which is impressive enough since it means a 5,000x return. As for the RTP that the developer set up for it, it’s at 96.1%.

You’re going to select a bet for the next round, and there will be 12 different values to choose from. The smallest one is worth $0.20, while the largest amount you can use is $100. There are 100 coins in the wager, whatever bet value you decide on.

When combinations are formed, the next stop is for an Avalanche to trigger, giving you cascading reels and a new set of symbols to replace the winning ones.

The Wild Forge is a locked wild, which expands downwards in empty positions, and it can only appear on the last four reels.

Eye of Tiki is a scatter, and with 2+ there is a feature triggered, removing symbols found between these icons, and adding an extra row at the top.

You will notice that symbols of a larger size are possible here, even up to 4×4 sized.

To trigger up to 25 free drops, you need the Bonus Volcano scatter on 3 to 6 reels.

Regular wilds will be present as well, and you may use these as substitutes for other types of icons.

Tahiti Gold has only average graphics, and I know that ELK can do a lot better, but I like what I see inside otherwise. From features, to RTP and top payouts, it’s a good game.
