Tails of New York Slot review
Tails of New York is a game that puts the dogs of Big Apple in the shoes of humans, a slot that comes from BetOnSoft.
The theme of Tails of New York is not difficult to make out, the game showing us New York in the background image, while on the reels you will discover various dogs dressed as humans and acting as we do, taking photos, cooking or smoking cigars. The slot is generous with the number of available paylines, using 40 and spreading them across the usual 5 reels.
It’s a decent looking design, but I wouldn’t call it impressive. Everything is well enough handled, the cats tend to look cute for the most part, but the end result is simply not as great as I’d expect it to be. You find only themed symbols in this game, starting with the various dogs and cats dressed as we are, continuing with newspapers, cabs, pizza slices and the Eagle Statue of Liberty.
The slot’s betting options give the player 40 lines to bet on, and then allow him to select up to 10 coins in each case, while the denomination starts at $0.01 and can go up to $0.25. The line bet can be worth $2.50 at most, while the total bet is at most $100 per spin.
Buddy, the dog with red glasses, is the wild symbol and the one that can form a combination which pays the top jackpot, of 7,000x, or $17,500. Since it’s a wild, expect it to do its typical job, of contributing to new combinations whenever it makes an appearance exactly where you need a regular symbol.
The image of a fox is reserved for the Taxi Driver, one of the scatters available in the slot. Should it appear at least three times at the same time, it will bring you a prize and some free spins. The prize is worth between 5x and 100x the bet value, while the number of free games is between 5 and 9.
The image with the Chow’s Van, the only van of the game, will also act as a scatter, one that brings you access to a bonus game called Chow’s Run. The requirement is the usual one, for 3+ scatters of this type to appear at the same time.
The game might not have a great design, but it’s at least a workable one, and its features are good enough for the most part. I would’ve loved more free spins though. The prize of 7,000x is a good one as well, especially since the slot has 40 paylines.
