The Grand Slot review
The Grand is an Art Deco style game, with unusual reels and features, and it’s coming via Quickspin.
The Grand looks like it’s going to be appealing to players that are interested in slot machines with good graphics. The style of the 1920s and 1930s is in use here, the Art Deco inspiration being clear in the overall design of this slot. Unfortunately, the use of this style doesn’t really extend to the symbols, and all you’re going to see on the reels will be a mix of card suits, gemstones and logos. It had some potential, but it’s squandered thanks to the lazy selection of the symbols involved. Unfortunately, this game doesn’t really get to the level of other Quickspin releases from the past, and this developer did show before that they have what it takes to compete with other big companies.
In other areas, The Grand looks a bit more interesting, and this includes its setup, which has 6 reels (3-3-4-4-5-5 symbols) and 214 active lines. Other relevant figures include an RTP of 96.58%, synced reels, random wilds, nudges, a bonus game, free spins and scatters. Wins of over 1700x the stake are going to be possible inside.
The amount that will go into a single round can vary between $0.20 and $100. You select only the total amount, there is no mention of how much goes into each line.
The game has a system called connected bet lines, which takes symbols from consecutive reels, which are connected horizontally. It’s not quite ways to win, but it’s as close as the game gets.
Three types of features are provided by the game, including here the wild symbol, which you’re only getting at random.
The Grandomizer is a bonus game, which triggers via three Bonus icons appearing on reels 3 to 5.
There is also the chance that free spins will be triggered, 6 to 15 rounds possible here, if you get 3 to 6 of the right scatters to appear.
Besides other cool options which the game offers, it will also get random features, such as synced reels, up to 8 random wilds or up to three reels nudged by one position. These random features are provided only for paid spins.
The Grand has a decent mix of features, top payouts and RTP, but it’s not as impressive when it comes to the symbol selection/graphics, which is usually a Quickspin strength.
