The Wiz is a release from ELK Studios, and it looks like a decent attempt at a magic themed slot machine.

I appreciated the presence of themed symbols in all positions, no playing cards here, but on the other hand the style of the design isn’t the most attractive I’ve seen around. As for the images that we’re seeing in the game, a castle and a dragon are the two things that get our attention in the background, to the two sides of the reels. On those five tall reels, the symbols range from Bonus Wizards and Wild Dragons, to representations of the Sun or the Moon, jewelry, treasure chests, green potions and keys or silver spoons.

Its major features revolve around Wiz Spins with Walking Multiplier Wilds, Wilds with Multipliers and scatters. The rewards can become impressive, and reach even values of $500,000.

The betting range appears to be standard for all ELK releases. It’s between $0.20 and $100, and it has 100 coins in it, no matter how many lines you cover with them. Betting strategies may be selected, which can change the amount in the wager, based on the outcome of previous spins.

You can rely on the Wizard as the game’s scatter, the one which triggers 1 to 10 free spins when 2 to 5 such symbols are on the reels. Overall, I found the rewards and features of The Wiz to be fairly exciting. The game offers enough there to be fun to play, ultimately.
