Thundercats: Reels of Thundera Slot review

This new branded slot is available from Blueprint Gaming, and it tells the story of a group of aliens which strongly resemble humanoid cats.

Thundercats: Reels of Thundera will follow around this group of aliens, cat like yet humanoid, which live on a planet called Thundera. The story goes back to the 80s, when Warner Bros aired the series. There is a comic book that follows the same story, of the Thundercats. Blueprint Gaming designed an excellent slot machine, one which actually seems to have modern graphics, even though the inspiration comes from an older TV series. It almost looks like it was the comic book that it was based on. You see several logos as feature symbols, plus images of swords, space ships and weapons, but there will be some weirdly futuristic Royals present as well. Overall, it’s a lot better than I’d expect from a slot that’s themed around an 80s TV series.

You get a standard setup to go with the older theme, using 5 reels and 20 active lines. While the RTP is kept at 95.73%, payouts can be exciting and will reach a maximum of 10,000x. Expect about six different bonus features from its scatters, plus there are also wilds and six reel modifiers which could trigger at random.

To start the spinning of the reels, you need to pick the amount you want to use. The lowest value available is $0.20, while the highest one is $20.

The most common feature is the wild symbol, one of two that will pay 50x total stake when forming a full combo, while the rest of the time you get to use it as a replacement for others.

Awaken the Eye is a random feature, which will provide you with one of the six reel modifiers available inside. It includes options like Lion-O, Tygra, Panthro, Cheetara, Snarf or Wily Kit and Wily Kat. Each one changes the reels in a different way, ranging from mystery symbols, to scatters, synced reels, wild reels or extra wilds.

There are also regular features to be triggered, coming via scatters which land at least three times. Once again, you get one of the six bonus features shown inside. Some of these will give you free spins (with multipliers or upgraded symbols), others will consist of bonus games.

Thundercats: Reels of Thundera is a fun game, it offers plenty of features and can trigger huge payouts, though the volatility is on the high side as well.
