Wolf Cub Slot review

Wolf Cub is, as you might’ve imagined, a game which has a baby wolf in the main role, and so you’re getting a cute looking design from it.

Net Entertainment is behind this release, called Wolf Cub, a slot machine which has the forest and its wild creatures as a focus. The wolf cub is one of those creatures, and he’s accompanied by wild cats, owls, a moose and a bear. Besides a couple of symbols with paws or the full moon, the other four remaining symbols are with card suits, but quite nicely done, out of wood. The design doesn’t seem as impressive as in other slots offered by Net Ent, but I still enjoyed it. The game gives us scatter symbols, wilds and free spins, all of them basic features for a modern title. 20 fixed win lines will be offered as well, on 5 reels. The slot has a top prize of $20,000.

This being a game from Net Ent, you can usually guess what kind of betting system is going to be employed. You have no option to change the number of lines, there will always be 20 of those.

However, you can have up to 10 coins per line, an option you can chance from the Level section. The Coin Value is another option, one that does exactly that, allowing you to change the denomination of your coins. You have coin values of up to $1, so you end up with line bets of up to $10 and a total bet of $200 at most.

During paid spins, the features that you get access to would be considered average in most slots. Things change a bit once you reach the free spins.

The wild is one symbol that you get as you play the regular side of the game, and which you will be able to use to form a combination that pays up to 2,000x. You can also have wilds included in regular combinations, together with the symbols that don’t have features to offer. Wilds may not replace scatters.

The scatter symbol is marked as such, plus it has the full moon showing behind it, so it’s easy to spot. When you have three or more Full Moon symbols in view, you get a feature where the symbols on the reels are transformed into numbers. The total of those numbers gives you the number of free spins. A reel with a full stack of symbols will see it spread to other positions on neighboring reels.

Wolf Cub is not the usual big production from Net Entertainment, but it’s still a decent game to play.
