Wolf Moon Rising Slot review

A game of Native American inspiration, it features the usual North American wildlife symbols and several good features.

Coming via Betsoft, Wolf Moon Rising looks like a fairly average slot machine, but luckily there is more to this game than just its graphics and theme. Speaking of theme, the slot’s use of Native American style decorations, along with wildlife images which are borrowed from North America’s list of creatures, is hardly unusual for a slot machine. It’s not particularly unique in its design, nor well made, so I wouldn’t put on the list of best-looking Betsoft slots. The developer has plenty of good games out, but this one isn’t a great example of what they can do. To give you an idea of what you’re going to find inside, the Bonus symbol has a Mystical Feather Talisman, the Wolf Moon is a scatter of sorts, and there is an Elemental Wild as well. Among the regular symbols, you can get either high value icons with two images of white wolves, mid value ones with eagles, mountain lions and buffaloes, or standard symbols with the six Royals.

Wolf Moon Rising gives us 25 active lines for a game area with 5×3 reels. There are impressive wins possible, of up to 10,000x total stake on each line, so there is definitely a lot of potential with this game. Looking at the features which could be triggered, we see Wolf Moon instant wins, Elemental Wilds, Mystical Feather Talisman scatters and free spins with 2x multipliers which pay both ways.

An impressive game, Wolf Moon Rising will feature relatively small bets, of just $0.25 to $5 (up to $0.20 per line), perhaps in an attempt to keep the casino’s exposure low.

Expect to get some help along the way from the Elemental Wilds, symbols which are substitutes for all types of symbols, the exception being the scatters.

Wolf Moon scatters can appear at random, and when they do, you get the value of the round’s bet back, from each one that shows up.

As for the Mystical Feather Talisman, this scatter needs to land 3 or more times, giving you 12 free spins when this happens. Winning will happen both ways at this point, while the multiplier is at 2x for all wins. The combinations can also form both ways.

Wolf Moon Rising looks like a very interesting slot, with high volatility and all the right features. About the only downside I see for it is the boring design.
