Wolf Run Slot review

Wolf Run will feature Native American style graphics, with a focus on wolves and on wildlife in general.

Part of IGT’s collection, Wolf Run is part of a rather large category of slot machines, which focus heavily on wildlife, and on Native American style graphics. Often enough, this type of game will rely on wolves for main symbols, though it’s not always the case. It’s certainly true for Wolf Run though, a game where we’re seeing multiple wolves in its main symbols. From black or white ones, to silhouettes of howling wolves, Wolf totems or dream catchers, the symbols tend to have either that wildlife or Native American feel to them. Once you get to the lowest value symbols, you discoer Royals of low quality, but quite colorful. Huge forests and snow-covered mountains are shown in the background, so we get a look at the area where the wolves are living as well.

You will find that the game offers 40 active lines, on 5×4 reels, a rather large area to play on. You can get wild symbols to help out, along with Bonus Dreamcatchers and free spins, a typical mix of features all in all. The game will pay up to 1,000x, when filling the reels with appropriate symbols. A major downside for this game, would be the range of the RTP, which is between 92.50% and 94.98%. Even at its highest level, this is not something to be excited about.

You select the number of lines (1 to 40), as well as the line bet, which can be fairly high. It appears to be a slot which is fun for high rollers as well.

I’m not overly excited about the features which the game introduces. One of the major symbols will take the form of a Howling Wolf, with the Full Moon in the background. This one’s the wild symbol, and it’s useful as a substitute usually. There are times though, when such symbols can create combinations directly, if 3 to 5 appear on a line, left to right. They pay the top jackpot, when this happens.

There will be free spins as well, though only 5 rounds are offered when you get 3 Bonus Dreamcatchers scattered on the middle three reels. There is a small prize paid as well, just 2x total stake.

Wolf Run feels like an average game in most areas, and it’s even worse than that once you get to its RTP. It’s not a game that I would recommend.
