Andy Capp Slot review
Andy Capp, at its basis, is inspired by a Daily Mirror comic strip character that has been part of people’s lives for over six decades.
Blueprint Gaming chose a fan’s favorite when they went with Andy Capp as the subject of their new slot machine. The character was part of the Daily Mirror comic strip for more than sixty years, an impressive number that means only one thing, that it was highly appreciated by readers of the newspaper. The game builds on the character’s notoriety and turns the slot machine into a cartoon style title which is fun to play. You have images related to the character inside, so besides him you will find logos, newspapers, TV sets, footballs and pints of beer, among others. The downside is in the mix of four Royal cards, cartoon like but still not a pleasure to see. The overall design quality is good, enjoyable for certain and appropriate for the theme.
You are getting 20 lines for 5×3 reels, along with features such as Andy’s Adventures (five random bonuses available inside), scatters, three random modifiers, super stacked symbols and wilds.
Moving on to the prizes that you can land inside, those consist of payouts of up to $5,000. There are apparently some progressive jackpots to be won as well.
Selecting a bet is as easy as picking a value that you want to use and then clicking on Spin. You have a range that goes from $0.20 to $200, which means that line bets vary from $0.01 to $10.
The wild is an important feature, a symbol that you use as a substitute for a lot of regulars and which is also going to form wins that pay up to 500x.
The same 500x payout also comes via the game’s only super stacked symbol, which has the Andy Capp logo showing on it. It’s a symbol with a huge potential, since it can deliver wins on multiple lines at a time.
Three random modifiers can pop up at any time, to give you some help. These are part of a feature called Hungover Andy, which can bring you Andy’s Dream Women Triggered, Colossal Ale Triggered or Andy’s Wild Dream.
As for Andy’s Adventures, a bonus feature that is activated through three scatters marked Bonus, it will give you one of five potential features, including Let’s Play Darts, On Me’Ead Son, Back to the Bookies, the Jolly Riveter Super Bonus or The Boozer.
It’s a game that is a lot of fun, particular for any players that have enjoyed the comic strip character in the past.
