Using a classic fruit theme, but mixed with a modern layout and giant symbols, Colossus Fruits doesn’t look like a typical slot machine.

Colossus Fruits is available via Spinomenal, and it’s a slot machine that will manage to surprise you. You’re going to find a modern game area that you can play on, with reels of different sizes, but also with giant symbols that will cover up to 3×3 positions. If we go beyond the modern setup, the actual graphics and choice of symbols will not manage to impress. The theme is a classic one, but that by itself is not a major issue, even though we get a mix of older pub style icons (watermelons, Lucky 7s, Bells) and Royals on the reels. Other symbols show logos for the major features. What I didn’t enjoy is the low quality of the design. Even as a modern slot machine in other ways, they went with a design style that could’ve been great only about a decade or two ago. I didn’t find enough details and design quality in its symbols, to satisfy me visually, but players that don’t care as much about graphics might not have a problem with the game.

You play on 5 reels, which get 3-4-4-4-3 symbols and 30 active lines. You can get Mega-sized symbols (3×3) on the middle reels, along with stacked wilds, instant wins, scatters and free spins (also available via the Buy Feature). The game will pay up to 150x, which appears to mean at most $45,000 for a single spin.

What you’re using for betting purposes, is the bet per line. The decision is to take it somewhere between $0.01 and $10, depending on your needs, and this will give the total bet a value of $0.30 to $300 per spin.

Colossus Fruits has mega symbols for one, and those can land on the middle three reels, either in 2×2 or 3×3 variants. It’s true for the medium symbols, showing Lucky 7s, Watermelons and Bells.

Wilds appear stacked on the reels 1 and 5, but regular-sized everywhere else. You can create wins with them (up to 150x prizes), but they are also substitutes the rest of the time.

Question Mark bonus symbols can appear and give you instant wins, a different cash prize being offered by each one.

The Free Spins, with their 10 rounds, will trigger via their own special symbols appearing on reels 1 and 5.

Colossus Fruits will offer only basic graphics, but the layout is modern and the features are those of a newer game.
