Neptune Rising Slot review
Neptune, the God of the Sea in Ancient Rome’s religion, is the focus of this Plank Gaming slot machine.
Plank Gaming gives us in Neptune Rising a slot which will take us to the ocean, and rely on the god of the sea to keep us company. The game manages to be fairly interesting, though it doesn’t really offer us anything new. Neptune might not be as popular as a choice for a slot’s theme as Poseidon, but they’re essentially the same character, and the games based on them aren’t very different. We see Neptune and his trident on these reels, gold coins with his profile on them, Sirens, treasure chests and sea horses which are a mix of real horse and seals. Eventually, the developer goes back to the Royals, when covering the low value icons. All things considered, it’s a decent looking game, with symbols that were well designed, but it’s not a story that we haven’t heard before.
At its core, the game has only 5 reels with 10 paylines, so it’s not offering all that many opportunities to create new wins. The game has a medium to high volatility, and it is capable of delivering wins of 9,000x the stake, or up to $450,000. Moving on to features, on that list we’re finding the wilds, scatters, free spins and the Neptune Rising random bonus. RTP is set to 95.92%, an OK figure, though one that could be better.
You set up the bet for the entire game area, and you just pick the total amount which needs to go into it. The smallest wager is $0.20, at $0.02 per line, while the highest gets to $50, in which case you spend $5 per line.
The wild is the clear winner, in terms of what a symbol can offer. Its winning combinations pay the most, by a long shot, with up to 9,000 coins offered on each line. It’s available as a substitute, even if you don’t get paid by it.
Neptune Rising is a feature which triggers at random moments, though only for losing spins. It turns the round into one with a guaranteed win, plus it can also get you the missing scatters, so that you can trigger free spins.
3+ scattered Coins get you 10 free spins, along with a prize of up to 750x the stake.
Neptune Rising looks good payout wise, has about average features and RTP, and there is just more of the same if you take the graphics into account.
