Spin Town Slot review

A Red Tiger Gaming slot machine, Spin Town will have an actual city and its inhabitants as the subjects of its design.

Spin Town will take the action to the streets of a city, to the point where the reels look almost like lanes on one of them. They will spin and bring symbols to the game area, which will revolve around regular Royals and several city themed icons. The Royals are not that interesting, they’re just colorful and they use modern fonts, but otherwise they have no relevance to the theme. There will be just as many regular symbols that do have the right idea though, and among those you see the key, a wallet, a boom box, a biker helmet with flames on it, or a suitcase overflowing with cash. These are mostly cartoon-style symbols, which are accompanied by a wide variety of potential wilds, all of them showing characters from the city, ranging from grannies, to hipsters or skateboarders.

The game area is fairly big, it has 5×4 reels, and there will be a total of 40 paylines available on them. Payouts are not very high, only 400x the stake potential, but that could still mean $80,000. For the feature list, there are various wilds to be found inside, including the Hooligans, mega wilds, rockin’ wilds, wild multipliers, speedy wilds or sleepy wilds.

Clicking on the Stake option will open up a list of values that you can choose from, where the smallest setting is $0.20, while the highest one is $200.

Spin Town’s major features seem to come via its wilds, for the most part. You have various characters appearing to the sides, representing different types of wilds and features. Once the street light at the top turns green, they cross the road and they deliver their features.

Sleepy Wilds are substitutes which can become sticky while crossing the road, so you get them for several rounds.

Speedy Wilds move fast, going across 1-2 reels at a time, so they disappear quickly.

The Couple symbols can be combined into a Wild Umbrella if they meet, and they apply a 2x multiplier.

Three Rock n Roll symbols will activate four rockin Wilds for you, and they cross the road up to 10 times.

Guardsmen’s March will require three Guardsmen, and they turn into 1×2 Mega wilds crossing the road.

Hooligan Advance needs three Kick Off symbols to activate, wilds which will move in groups across the reels.

It’s got plenty of variety, OK graphics and payouts which seem to be on the low side, so there is some room for improvement there.
