Stellar Spins Slot review
Stellar Spins is a fruit/gemstone themed slot, though it takes the action to space and uses a variety of modern features to leave a better impression in the end.
Part of the collection of slot machines that Booming Games is offering, Stellar Spins is a bit of a mixed bag, when it comes to what it’s capable of offering. On one hand, you’re looking at graphics which place the action in space, in orbit above Earth, with lights from the cities visible underneath. It’s a beautiful image, but that’s just for the background. If you look at the symbols which are shown on those reels, you are going to notice about three types of 7s, each one in a different color and showing a ringed planet behind it. Several logos are used as the big feature triggers, while for low value symbols they relied on diamonds and other gemstones cuts into card suit shapes. The quality for this design is certainly there, it’s just that the things that we’re being shown aren’t exciting enough.
Those playing Stellar Spins will find inside wilds, free spins, scatters, and winning combinations which pay as much as 50x the stake each, for a maximum potential win of 500x the stake in one spin. Add the fact that the slot can pay both ways, on its 10 lines spread across 5 reels, and winning shouldn’t be as difficult as the low number of lines might suggest at first.
The wager setup is possible via 10 fixed lines, with the lowest possible value being $0.10, while the highest one will reach $500. A maximum line bet of $50 is available, and it can be transformed into a payout of $25,000.
Of special note in this case is the 2-Way Pay system, which will allow for wins to form both ways, but only if the option is triggered via a special symbol.
On the more regular side, the feature list includes a Wild Star, a symbol that you may use as the substitute. Have it appear next to regular symbols, and winning combinations can be formed with it as a replacement for whatever is missing. The 3rd reel can get stacked wilds on it.
The free spins are also part of the offer, and as usual you’re going to trigger them if you have 3 scatters present on the reels, in any positions. Expanding symbols are available here, with a random icon being picked for this role.
Stellar Spins has a good mix of features, only average graphics thanks to the classic theme, and overall it’s a game that I’d like to return to.
